[CTIA 2006] -- Motorola has unveiled another new low-priced CDMA cellphone handset, the W315. The W315 handset is similar in shape to the popular colored PEBL, but with an external antenna for better reception.

Motorola W315 features:
1.8" 128×160 65K CSTN display screen
Soft touch rubber
SMS / MMS instant messaging

The Motorola W315 is expected to be released for general availability during Q3, 2006 on well known CDMA carriers Sprint Nextel or Verizon. In other news, Motorola has also debuted the colored RAZR V3m (multimedia).

Motorola launches colored RAZR V3i, V3m

Motorola continues to extend their reach into the colour bucket with the ever so popular RAZR lineup -- this time they are unlocking new shimmering shades of blue, red and purple. With the new RAZR color splash upon us, we can now clearly see that they are continuing to penetrate their marketshare into the thin sleek mobile segment -- on what is notably the most popular phone Motorola has had in years. These new phone colors are being shown this week at the CTIA conference in Vegas.

These two phone variations unveiled today are notably the V3m, which will be a music phone -- hence the trailing "m" in the model name, and the Motorola V3i, with "i" being an international quad band phone capable of GPRS.

Moto RAZR V3i/V3m features are similar to many of the mid-priced handset models sold today -- including 1.3 megapixel camera, stereo (not AD2P), microSD memory expansion slot (up to 1GB), and color display. While the ROKR and SLVR (L7) feature iTunes, they have not stated whether the V3m will have this same feature.

Motorola has also announced they have unlocked their box of new handsets to unveil an entry-level W315 clamshell and the Motorola C290 flip phone (Sprint Nextel targetted handset).
